These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Rapids Cleaning Services website and cleaning services. By using our website, requesting a quote, booking a service, or using our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Company Information
Rapids Cleaning Services provides residential and commercial cleaning services in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area and surrounding service areas.
2. Services
Rapids Cleaning Services offers cleaning services that may include, but are not limited to:
Standard or routine cleaning; Deep cleaning; Move-in and move-out cleaning; One-time cleaning; Recurring cleaning; Commercial cleaning; Other cleaning-related services agreed to at the time of booking.
The exact scope of work depends on the service selected, the condition of the property, the information provided by the customer, and any notes or add-ons included at booking.
3. Quotes and Pricing
Prices may be based on factors such as property size, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, service type, service frequency, condition of the property, add-ons, and other relevant details.
Quotes are based on the information provided by the customer. If the property condition, size, scope, or requested work differs from the information provided at booking, pricing and/or service time may be adjusted.
Rapids Cleaning Services reserves the right to update pricing, decline service, or request additional payment if the actual job requires more time, labor, or scope than originally described.
4. Booking and Appointment Times
Appointment times and arrival windows are estimates and may vary due to traffic, weather, prior job delays, cleaner availability, or other circumstances.
We will make reasonable efforts to arrive within the scheduled arrival window and communicate updates when necessary.
5. Customer Responsibilities
To help us complete the service properly, customers are responsible for:
Providing accurate booking information; Ensuring water, electricity, heat or air conditioning, and working lights are available; Providing safe and reasonable access to the property; Securing pets when needed; Picking up excessive clutter, personal items, toys, clothing, dishes, trash, or other items that may prevent cleaning; Identifying fragile, valuable, damaged, or delicate items before service; Providing any special instructions before the appointment begins.
If cleaners cannot access the property, if utilities are unavailable, or if the property is not ready for service, cancellation fees, lockout fees, rescheduling fees, or additional charges may apply.
6. Clutter, Heavy Soil, and Excessive Conditions
Cleaning estimates assume normal conditions for the selected service type. Excessive clutter, heavy buildup, post-construction dust, hoarding conditions, excessive pet hair, biohazards, mold, pest infestations, bodily fluids, or unsafe conditions may require additional time, additional charges, rescheduling, or refusal of service.
If the home or property requires more time than scheduled, Rapids Cleaning Services may offer additional cleaning time at the applicable hourly rate, adjust the scope of work, or reschedule the service.
7. Excluded Services
Unless specifically agreed in writing, our services do not include:
Mold remediation; Pest removal; Biohazard cleanup; Removal of bodily fluids or hazardous materials; Heavy lifting or moving large furniture; Cleaning high or unsafe areas; Exterior window cleaning; Carpet shampooing or extraction; Wall washing; Chandelier cleaning; Cleaning inside appliances, cabinets, or drawers unless selected as an add-on or included in the booked service; Any task that is unsafe, illegal, or outside the agreed scope of work.
Rapids Cleaning Services reserves the right to refuse any task that may create a safety risk or is outside the scope of services.
8. Payments
A valid payment method may be required to book services. Rapids Cleaning Services may place a payment authorization or hold before the appointment. Customers are charged after the service is completed unless otherwise stated.
We do not accept cash payments unless specifically approved in advance. Payment is due upon completion of service.
If payment fails, the customer agrees to promptly provide a valid payment method. Unpaid balances may result in canceled future appointments, late fees, collection efforts, or other remedies allowed by law.
9. Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Lockouts
Customers must provide at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
Cancellations, rescheduling requests, or lockouts with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a $50 fee.
A lockout includes situations where cleaners cannot access the property, the customer is unavailable, access instructions are incorrect, keys or codes do not work, or required utilities are not available.
10. Recurring Services
Recurring service pricing is based on the agreed cleaning frequency. If recurring service frequency changes, pricing may change.
Skipping, canceling, or rescheduling recurring appointments may affect pricing or availability.
If a customer received an initial-service discount or recurring-service discount based on agreeing to recurring services, and the customer cancels before completing the required recurring services, Rapids Cleaning Services may charge the difference between the discounted price and the regular price, or a disclosed early cancellation or discount recovery fee.
11. Satisfaction Guarantee
Customer satisfaction is important to us. If you are not satisfied with the service, you must notify Rapids Cleaning Services within 48 hours of the completed appointment and provide details and photos when applicable.
If the issue falls within the agreed scope of work, Rapids Cleaning Services may offer a return visit or reclean of the missed areas. The satisfaction guarantee does not apply to items outside the booked scope, areas that were inaccessible, areas not ready to clean, or issues reported more than 48 hours after service.
Refunds are not guaranteed. Rapids Cleaning Services reserves the right to determine the appropriate resolution, which may include a reclean, partial credit, or other solution.
12. Damages and Claims
Customers must report any alleged damage within 48 hours of service completion. Photos and details may be required.
Rapids Cleaning Services is not responsible for pre-existing damage, normal wear and tear, improperly installed items, loose fixtures, delicate or unstable items, items not properly secured, or damage caused by customer-provided products or equipment.
Customers are responsible for identifying fragile, valuable, damaged, or delicate items before service begins.
Liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the service giving rise to the claim, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
13. Independent Cleaners and Contractors
Rapids Cleaning Services may use employees, independent contractors, or third-party cleaners to perform cleaning services.
Customers agree not to directly hire, solicit, or engage cleaners introduced by Rapids Cleaning Services outside of Rapids Cleaning Services without written permission.
14. Photos and Quality Control
Cleaners may take before-and-after photos of service areas for quality control, documentation, training, damage claims, and customer support.
Photos are intended to document cleaning-related work and property condition. We do not intentionally photograph private personal information, people, or sensitive materials.
15. Pets
Customers are responsible for securing pets before and during service. Rapids Cleaning Services is not responsible for pets that escape, become injured, or interfere with service if they are not properly secured.
Cleaners may decline to enter or continue service if pets create a safety concern.
16. Customer Communications
By submitting your contact information through our website, requesting a quote, booking a service, calling or texting us, or otherwise contacting Rapids Cleaning Services, you agree that we may contact you by phone, email, and text message for purposes related to your inquiry, quote, booking, appointment, scheduling, reminders, service updates, follow-up communications, and customer support.
17. SMS/Text Messaging Terms
Rapids Cleaning Services uses SMS/text messaging for non-marketing, service-related communications only. This SMS program is used for quote follow-up, missed-call replies, booking confirmations, appointment reminders, arrival updates, scheduling changes, service updates, post-service follow-up, and customer support.
This SMS program is not used for promotional offers, discounts, mass advertising, or marketing messages.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

18. Website Use
You agree not to misuse our website, interfere with website operation, attempt unauthorized access, submit false information, or use the website for unlawful purposes.
All website content, including text, graphics, logos, branding, and layout, is owned by or licensed to Rapids Cleaning Services and may not be copied or used without permission.
19. Third-Party Links and Tools
Our website may link to third-party websites, booking platforms, payment processors, review platforms, or other services. Rapids Cleaning Services is not responsible for the content, terms, privacy practices, or security of third-party websites or services.
20. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rapids Cleaning Services is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, loss of use, or other damages arising from use of our website or services.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to a service is limited to the amount paid for that specific service.
21. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rapids Cleaning Services from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of the website, violation of these Terms, failure to provide safe access or accurate information, or actions that cause harm to Rapids Cleaning Services, its cleaners, contractors, or service providers.
22. Changes to These Terms
Rapids Cleaning Services may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with the updated “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of our website or services after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
23. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict of law principles.
